Financial Analyst
Contract Duration/Type: Permanent
Location: Ballycoolin, Dublin / Hybrid Role Overview of the role: The Financial Analyst will report to our Solutions and Reporting Manager. The two aspects of this role are (1) working with our Senior Finance Managers and Business Development teams to price tenders and build financial models. The bids range in size from ₠100k to ₠50+m across our Water, Waste and Energy divisions. (2) work closely with the Solutions and Reporting Manager to develop and improve reporting from Workday (project specific tasks). The Financial Analyst will have a great opportunity to be involved in the growth of the Irish business and develop the finance department's contribution to the business development process. Duties of the Role include:
  • Being the key financial support on all NEW Energy, Water and Waste bids (renewals generally excluded) and any Company acquisitions.
  • Preparing the financial responses to tenders.
  • Preparing and developing financial models to evaluate bids/ acquisitions and manage financial risks.
  • Ensuring bids are compliant with our internal approval process.
  • Developing commercial offers in conjunction with the Business Development team.
  • Preparing the monthly Business Development report.
  • Streamlining the financial element of the tender process.
  • Varied Project work to assist the Finance Department. Including Data analytics, Improving the quality of data recorded, improving reporting (automation and dashboard etc).
Required skills for this role:
  • ACA,ACCA,CIMA, CP or equivalent Business School
  • Financial modelling. Excellent Google Sheets (Excel), data analytical and system experience.
  • Positive, driven, proactive attitude. Likes helping and supporting individuals and teams.
  • Previous bid experience
  • Good commercial understanding of engineering services and construction businesses.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience of managing financial data, building financial models and reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills (evaluating risks).
  • Strong at presenting complex information in a user friendly way that meets the needs of a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong Google Sheets/ Excel skills.
  • Has been involved with the development of business procedures and policies.
  • Experience with Workday financial systems.
  • Knowledge of Google applications is desirable.A self-starter with a high degree of analytical rigour.
  • Resourceful with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. (Flexibility in working hours required)
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels including senior management.
  • Positive attitude
