Based at:
Lancashire workshop. Broughton, Preston.

The post offered is on a day shift, Monday - Friday between 07:00am - 17:30pm - 37.5hrs per week. This will include 1 day per week release to college.


We have one vacancy within the in the Lancashire area, the post being based at our Newly refurbished Lancashire workshop site in Broughton.

Full training will be given, you will be supported through day release at a local college.

You will play a key role in the maintenance and repair of the Trust's fleet of vehicles.

Including Emergency Ambulances, Rapid response vehicles, patient transport service vehicles and all other operational vehicles included within the fleet up to 7.

You will serve a full level 3 apprenticeship in the Motor vehicle Service and Maintenance.

You will obtain the appropriate level 3 certificate on completion.

You will upon coming of age be expected to obtain and hold a UK Driving License covering Groups C1 which has no more than 6 penalty points (points will be considered on an individual basis)


North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.


Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.

We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.


Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
