Role overviewThe role holder must have property industry experience. You will structure, facilitate and oversee planning and performance management activities within the Commercial function.

They will identify and optimise growth opportunities and revenue streams, while leveraging broad insight to inform commercial strategy and decision making.

The role requires collaboration with the Commercial senior management team and working in close alignment with other departments including Commercial Finance, responsible for Group-wide financial planning, analysis and decision making, and Data teams.

Key responsibilitiesCollaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including within commercial, finance and data, to define and provide holistic data insight requirements, aligned to business objectives and planning processes to deliver informed and accurate commercial forecasting and decision-making.

Establish and oversee a robust planning and performance management framework for the commercial function, tracking and evaluating key performance indicators related to revenue generation, pricing strategies, customer acquisition and retention, competitor benchmarking, ensuring appropriate information, insight and cadence for decision making.

Provide challenge and support to the commercial senior management team and drive through action completion.
Produce presentations, dashboards, executive summaries and reports for use within the commercial function, at senior leadership, and Board meetings. Support the Chief Commercial Officer in presenting and present on behalf of the function at internal forums as required.

Streamline and automate processes and reports, identify and implement improvements to data and insight quality, establish and provide training on structured approaches and tools to support commercial teams in identifying underperformance and margin enhancement opportunities.

Collect, clean, and analyse extensive datasets related to sales, revenue, pricing, customer behaviour, and market trends, ensuring one-source-of-truth drill-down capabilities.

Develop and present actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on data analysis, including comprehensive competitor analysis and benchmarking, to support commercial strategy and revenue optimisation.

Contribute to financial forecasting and modelling through creating advanced forecasting models and predictive analytics to anticipate market trends, customer demand, and revenue projections.

Role holder requirementsStrong track record in driving and delivering high-growth commercial outcomes through insight, planning, performance management and data driven decision making within the property industryCommitted to staying updated with emerging commercial management trends, technologies and analytics best practices to drive growth, continuous improvement and innovation.

Likely to hold a degree or certification in business administration, data analytics, business intelligence or related field.
Experience collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across functions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey insights, trends, and strategic recommendationsExperience in producing and presenting, slideshows, executive summaries, reports, dashboards, impactful insights in a, fast-paced, agile, business to business environment.

Comfortable providing support and challenge to peers, mentoring and developing othersExtensive experience in collecting, cleaning, and analysing extensive datasets related to sales, revenue, pricing, customer behaviour, and market trends.

Proficiency in using advanced analytical methods and tools, including Power BIStrong track record of developing and presenting strategic recommendations based on data and competitor analysis.

Ability to anticipate trends and demand through advanced modelling and predictive analytics.
Ability to streamline and automate processes and reporting, identify and implement improvements and provide user training.

Organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks effectively, and deliver results within agreed timelines and budget constraintsUnderstanding of financial forecasting and modelling principles desirable (not essential)What Is on Offer: A collaborative and innovative work environment.
