Residential Property Solicitor/ Licensed Conveyancer

Our Residential Conveyancing Department is expanding and we are now seeking to employ a full time Residential Property Law specialist (Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Cilex qualified) with excellent experience at handling their own varied case load ofleasehold and freehold property.

You will work closely with our Head of Residential Property and our conveyancing team.


The role comprises all aspects of residential conveyancing such as liaising with clients, solicitors and other third parties, reviewing Mortgage Offers and Searches, complying with AML regulations, preparing Contract packs, raising/replying to enquiriesand preparing Reports on Title as well as being familiar with the UK Finance Lender's Handbook and Mortgage Lender's requirements, preparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax Returns and Land Registry Applications.


You must:
- be experienced working to Lexcel and CQS standard practices
- be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- have excellent attention to detail
- be organised
- be able to work as part of a team
- have fantastic communication skills and be able to explain the complexities of the law to lay clients with ease.
- have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding your billing / time recording targets.

  • Provide a good reference from your employer

It would be desirable if you have:

  • experience of re-mortgages, transfers of equity
  • Experience of SOS practice management systems
