Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Events Manager to join us at the heart of the Academy's phenomenally successful Advancement team.

Job Description

Philanthropy plays a significant role in the life of the Academy and supports our mission to develop and educate the musicians of tomorrow. Since 2013, the Academy has raised over £42 million through philanthropic donations, and exciting plans are underway to develop a campaign to celebrate the Academy's Bicentenary in 2022.

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Events Manager to join us at the heart of the Academy's phenomenally successful Advancement team. Your role will be crucial in providing high quality events assistance and coordination in support of the Academy's philanthropic priorities. Events includes high-profile donor engagement events, some Academy-wide events and a series of bespoke gatherings (both virtual and in-person) throughout the year.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience planning and delivering large and small events. You will be comfortable with multitasking and be confident in your approach to planning and organising. Much of the work will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, so you will need to have well developed communication skills and the ability to balance tact with assertiveness amidst conflicting priorities. It is essential that the post holder has a good sense of judgement and discretion together with very strong attention to detail.

Experience working in the arts and/or higher education would be an advantage. A commitment to the Academy's mission is essential.
