Blaymires Recruitment is representing a respected main contractor based in the new forest near Lymington who is searching for an Estimator/Surveyor to join the business.The company has developed, over the past 20 years, into one of the most reputable chartered building firms within Hampshire and Dorset. They specialise in bespoke new homes, residential refurbishments and commercial developments with projects ranging in value from £50k - £1m. They are looking for an experienced Estimator or Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their established management team. You will have technical knowledge and an eye for detail and will be responsible for tendering construction projects accurately and professionally.Duties of the Estimator / Quantity Surveyor:

  • Reviewing and submitting tender documentation.
  • PQQ submissions, when applicable.
  • Developing and managing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors and acquiring competitive quotes.
  • Performing material take-offs from plans.
  • Attending client site visits in a polite and professional manner.
  • When tender successful and as required; assist with preparing the project set-up and handover to the Project Manager.
  • Managing the database of enquiries.
