We are in need of an MIG welder to join this rapidly expanding manufacturer based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds

If you've got years' worth of experience in MIG welding and fabrication or have just passed your City & Guilds in welding, we'd like to hear from you


This position will be offering a starting salary of circa £13.50ph, however this is dependant on the level of skill you possess in the role.

Overtime is available throughout the week at increased rates of pay and after a successful 3 month probationary period, a pay review will also be available.


MIG Welder duties:
-

  • Receiving work orders from the Team Leader and complete each order in a timely manner
  • Jig work and MIG welding of components into weld assemblies to a high standard i.e., burr free, neat welding with good penetration, in line with the engineering drawings
  • Fabrication of mild and stainless steel components
  • Safely operate workshop equipment i.e., band saws, mills, lathes, drills, break presses, punching machines, welders, plasma cutters, guillotines etc. to make the required components
  • Ensure workshop equipment is well maintained
The standard working hours for the role are 08:00-17:00, Monday-Friday with an hours lunch
