Conduct loading of trailers and ensuring all required products are loaded onto the relevant trucks to ensure accurate, cost effective and on time deliveries to meet customer needs.

Assist with stock taking. Ensure all products are properly packaged and available for safe transport.

Summary of role expectations / activities):

  • Reporting to the Stockyard Supervisor, work within the logistics team to assist with the daily loading/unloading requirements including completion of despatch notes when required.
  • Ensure all company stock products are recorded and transferred accurately.
  • Carry out loading requirements safely with a high degree of care to ensure goods aren't damaged during the loading process.
  • Be flexible to meet business needs.
  • Liaise with the Stockyard Supervisor to achieve all logistic related targets.
  • Develop a good understanding of the stores and yard stock loading plans.
  • Complete daily checks to all equipment and record and report any fault
  • Contribute to all business health and safety initiatives and follow all site safety rules, always demonstrating good practice and challenging bad practice.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Forklift licence
  • A selfmotivated individual with integrity
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to deal with a variety of loading challenges.
  • Willingness and ability to cover other general duties and cover holidays within the Logistics function.
  • Good attendance record.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrate Health and Safety awareness and a willingness to promote best practice.

Job Types:

Up to £23,447.00 per year
