As a Training Instructor at EMCOR UK, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering a service within our large-scale account for AWE. You will be responsible for providing and delivering a professional and efficient service to the training team on the contract. Delivering and managing the design and delivery of training to EMCOR UK and customer personnel associated with the roll out of digital handheld technology for hard services maintenance delivery. Deliver custom designed training and assessments to EMCOR UK and customer employees, in digital skills training as appropriate, utilising digital skills data to shape and design a tailored approach.

Work with the Instructional Designer to design face to face and virtual training and assessments for new technologies being deployed. Along with the Training Manager, operations, and compliance teams to identify needs/gaps and deliver training to address those needs/gaps. You will also coach/mentor staff who require additional support on as needed basis.

What you'll do:

Facilitate conversations and training utilising the expertise of SMEs to help ensure learning objectives are met.
Provide input to the creation of competency assessments for SMEs to use to assess the skills of staff. Work with the Training Coordinator to plan and manage an internal training calendar, including booking staff onto training; maintaining attendance records; booking rooms/venues and arranging materials required. Ensure the training and meeting rooms are prepared and ready to receive organisers, facilitators and delegates. Assess understanding of core policies, procedures and work instructions to ensure staff are capable of completing jobs according to appropriate instructions. Collaborate with EMCOR UK, customer technical and delivery teams to exchange knowledge and ensure best practice principles and share knowledge beyond the account is shared more widely across the business.
Work with internal and customer stakeholders to ensure any change to process or systems does not adversely impact compliance to applicable regulations and procedures. Manage with a pragmatic and problem-solving approach to regulatory related matters and foster an understanding that quality arrangements are an integral part of business and operational efficiency.
Maintain training records in line with EMCOR UK, customer and regulatory procedures and provide monthly reporting as required.

Person Specification

Who you'll be:

Previous experience of similar roles, and have thorough knowledge of technical, safety, or vocational capability relevant to an operational discipline within facilities management engineering. Training or facilitation qualification or professional membership (highly desirable). Technical qualification in an electrical, mechanical or health and safety field (desirable). A patient, resilient and "customer first" manner, being able to adapt and prioritise to provide successful outcomes.
Drive for continuous improvement. Curriculum design and programme design skills. Able to effectively evaluate the knowledge and skills of staff against stated learning objectives. Ability to inspire, motivate and provide technical leadership to a group of peers. Highly organised and able to work independently. Use own initiative and take responsibility appropriate to the role.
