Remote in UK About XOCEANXOCEAN is an innovative ocean data company specializing in data collection services such as seabed mapping and environmental monitoring.

We stand out by using cutting-edge marine robotic technology called Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USVs) instead of traditional crewed survey ships.

Overview:

  • Support project survey data collection and processing.
  • Ensure high-quality and efficient data collection and processing.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting online surveys remotely and in shifts.
  • Performing Quality Control by monitoring captured data using online survey tools and reporting to senior surveyors.
  • Assisting with daily activities administration and calibrations.
  • Collaborating with senior surveyors to assess survey results and adjust survey plans when necessary.
  • Participating in Survey Planning.
  • Processing and quality control of survey data, generating high-standard deliverables.
  • Preparing reports and delivering data within set deadlines.
  • Completing small tasks related to survey department operations.

On occasion this role may involve:

Onsite project support.

  • Managing Quality, Environment, Health, and Safety standards including implementing and managing ISO processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures relevant to the role.


Requirements:

Essential Skills / Attributes and Experience:

  • Hydrographic Surveyor Qualification.
  • MBES Survey Experience (hydrographic survey and asset inspections).
  • Strong computer literacy (sensor equipment configuration).
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, detail-oriented nature.

Desirable Experience:

  • Data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and reporting of bathymetric data.
  • Experience with marine survey data acquisition and processing software.
