- Management of a group of both contract and company GP farms.
- Meet annual production and cost targets.
- Influencing and managing the biological performance of the birds to ensure that all farms meet high and consistent standards of quality while ensuring production volume targets are achieved.
- Delivery of specified quality targets meeting our high welfare, health and safety regulations.
- Ensuring that bio-security and bird welfare are championed and upheld.
- Managing costs across the whole operation to ensure the most cost-effective production of high-quality Hatching Eggs.
- Working with and developing teams, both direct and indirect reports to allow succession planning and growth to occur naturally.
- Work with colleagues across the business to ensure integration of production plans within overall business objectives
- Excellent communication skills for both local and remote teams alike.
- The ability to manage, lead and empower team.
- A natural drive to improve efficiency by managing inputs and maximising output.
- A strong drive to focus and deliver on quality for our customers.
- Minimum of 5 years production management experience.
- Strong knowledge of poultry management.
- Ideally possess a degree level qualification in Agriculture / Animal Science, however, qualifications are less important than the ability and experience to manage in a highly pressurised environment and a proven track record will highlight this.
