Plassey Holiday Park & Golf Club, a family owned and run company is recruiting for a
Head Greenkeeper for its nine hole course nestled in 250 acres of park and woodland in the picturesque Dee Valley, North Wales.

The successful applicant should be trained to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in turf management and also hold the PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certification.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Technical greenkeeping and agronomy skills together with high standards of course preparation and detail.
• A good knowledge of fertilisers, preventative treatments and when they should be used.
• Competent in the use of a wide variety of machinery, machine maintenance & management.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation as it applies to the role and the ability to complete and maintain the associated administrative tasks.
• Experience of recruiting and building own team and to motivate them in order to deliver a high quality and consistent course presentation.
• Ability to work on own and within a team.
• Experience in organising and delivering an effective grass cutting routine for the course and expert knowledge in monitoring the health of the turf and to detect and address potential issues on the course in a timely manner.

The position is full time offering hours per week. Full flexibility to work weekends when required and early mornings is essential to meet the needs of the business.

Due to the location of the Plassey you will require your own transport.
