Job Advert - Sighted Guide for Visually Impaired Students at University of Essex
Terra Consultancy seeks a compassionate Sighted Guide to support visually impaired students at University of Essex - Colchester campus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students with visual impairments in navigating campus safely and independently.
  • Accompany students to lectures, tutorials, workshops, and educational facilities.
  • Maintain a professional, helpful, and flexible approach while respecting confidentiality.
  • Possibility of relevant training engagement.

Skills Required:

  • Thorough knowledge of the campus layout.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
Tentative timetable for the term not yet available. Flexibility required.

Terms and Conditions

  • Flexible, permanent 0 hrs contract.
  • Availability required most days for at least half a day.
  • Long breaks during summer.
  • Commitment to timely record and time sheet submission.
