Your new company
You will join a leading education and conference venue based in Dalkeith. This heritage site is a multi purpose venue encompassing traditional buildings and sprawling grounds.

The organisation is responsible for the education and care of persons from all age groups, offering opportunities to further develop themselves and shape future careers.

Catering for all sorts of demographics, you will play a key role in the support of daily maintenance operations such as outdoor sporting events set up, facilitating local fairs and election halls.

Your new role
Your role shall be to support an existing facilities team with the view to work independently after training. The role includes a variety of daily tasks ranging from planning and executing circular maintenance. To responding to emergency repairs and being the face of the community.

You will tend to and look after various buildings and their surround grounds - so some aspects of this role will be outside.

The role is both customer facing and dealing with suppliers/contractors to ensure customer satisfaction and the smooth running of the site.

This highly rewarding role will see you on site and in office where no two days are the same.
What you'll need to succeed
A background in property maintenance/facilities or experience within a handyperson role would be advantageous.

A can-do attitude and a passion to make our property a better place for people to live and work from is essential.

Customers and students are the focus of this organisations values, and you will need to be confident and capable in problem solving to be successful.

A base level of I.T skills are required to ensure job reporting can be completed on a daily basis.

This role will see you looking after 100+ acres of land so experience working both in and outside would be beneficial.
