JOB PURPOSE
To work as a member of a team providing a high standard of service to the public.

To assist in the administration of bereavement and income receipts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the effective utilisation of resources and ensure that the business support services delivered are of a high standard and meet the needs of an essential frontline Service. Ensure the activities of the Service are effectively provided and that high quality standards are maintained in line with ISO, Green Flag and Charter for the Bereaved accreditation.
  • Assist with the monitoring of income receipts in respect of external debts and contact Customers to discuss accounts and instigate appropriate recovery action.
  • In conjunction with the Parks Business Support & Finance management, assist with the cost effective procedures for the procurement of supplies and materials, complying with Council Standing Orders and Regulations.
  • Assist with the Cemeteries Service administrative duties including; an efficient, caring and sympathetic service to bereaved people and related stakeholders. Ensure all administrative procedures are in accordance with current legislation, industry standards and codes of practice. Maintain effective links with the Cemeteries Manager, Supervisors and Operational Staff on day to day issues, including effective links and appropriate joint working between the Cemeteries and Crematorium Services.
