Quality Inspector
We are looking for a Quality inspector to join a very well known manufacturing business in the Portsmouth area to help them find a number of Quality Inspector's to help them with ongoing projects. The company as mentioned are a long established and well known manufacturing company supplying into a number of different critical industries. As a Quality inspector you will be involved in ensuring the highest standards are always met. Quality Inspector Responsibilities- Visually inspect High Quality finished parts to detailed customer Quality requirement
- Inspect to Drawings/CAD using FARO arm/portable CMM
- Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
- Liaising with the Production staff to ensure parts are reworked if found faulty to the correct spec and process
- Day to day interaction with the Javelin MRP system and QMS database to ensure ongoing compliance. Making amendments to documentation of non-compliance or process improvement.
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001/ IATF 16949
- Should be able to read and understand Engineering drawings
- Auditing of products and process to Quality Policy
- Checking the presence of details such as metal fixings and fixing tape
- Experienced in the use of standard measuring equipment and processes (Mic's, Vernier callipers etc.)
- Basic knowledge of AS9100 and/or IATF 16949 requirements
- Knowledge of Composites materials and processes (wet-lay, prepreg, RTM, infusion etc.)
- FARO arm using Autodesk Powerinspect software (or experience with CMM programming)
- Knowledge of G,D&T
- Experience with CAD (able to manipulate/interrogate models and notes)
- FAIR to AS9102 and/or preparation of inspection reports to IATF or customer requirements)
- Interaction with MRP/ERP systems (Javelin preferably)
- Good computer literacy in particular all MS Office programs.
- Visual inspections to customer specification (paint or visible carbon)
