We are looking for an "Outstanding" Childcare Practitioner to join our friendly team at the Charing Cross Day Nursery.

The nursery is registered for 50 children between the ages 6 months to 5 years and opens from 7.15am - 6.00pm daily, 52 weeks of the year.


Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is the UK's first Academic Health Science Centre and brings together world-class research, teaching, and clinical services.

The AHSC has in excess of 9,700 staff and a budget of £950 million. The trust is dedicated to improving health outcomes by delivering the highest quality integrated healthcare, research, and service provision.


The Trust provides a Day Nursery at the Charing Cross Hospital; this is mainly used by the staff but is also available to the general public and the local community.

The Charing Cross Day Nursery site is managed by the Resourcing Service of the Directorate of People & OD.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, dedicated Assistant Childcare Practitioner to join our team for a substantive contract.


To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children in the setting, ensuring child protection policies and procedures are observed at all times, escalating to the nursery manager and/or the designated safeguarding lead if in doubt.


To assist the childcare practitioners in providing a safe, learning and stimulating environment for children's growth in accordance with EYFS and OFSTED regulations.

To assist and contribute with planning of activities suitable to the age range of children that provide an excellent quality of care and education that takes into account individual background and varied cultural needs

Recording accidents in the accident book. Ensure a member of the management team has initialled the report before the parent receives it
