Job purpose of a Wayleave Co-ordinator:

  • As a Wayleave Co-ordinator your role will be to support the business to ensure that wayleaves are identified and issued in a timely manner. Reporting to the Business Development Director the Wayleave Co-ordinator will report on wayleave progress and issues to the resolution of matters on the ground.

Key responsibilities of the Wayleave Co-ordinator:

  • Reviewing Land Registry documents providing detailed ownership information to the wider business.
Creating permission to work documentation for delivery to landowners.

Carrying out searches on behalf of contractors to assess maintenance responsibility of land.

Managing the wayleaves inbox.

Highlighting priority wayleaves which will have a direct impact on deliverables for the team.

Helping with administrative activities. Including supporting with the development and creation of reporting.


Work with other teams in the business who are involved in the wayleave process such as finance and build teams to ensure a robust end to end process is in place for wayleaves.

Managing contractor led permission to work documents.

Conducting site visits/door knocks where possible.

Key requirements of Wayleave Co-ordinator:

  • Telecommunications experience.
Experience working to delivery timescales and the confidence to challenge delays in process.

Be adaptable and have experience in handling data.

Good understanding of Wayleaves and the challenges that are present in the delivery of a Fibre network.

Attention to detail and a persistent approach to following up enquiries

You should be proficient in Microsoft packages and desirably will have some exposure to GIS software.

Ability and willingness to travel from time to time.
