A Public Sector client in Leicestershire is looking for a Waste Operations and Contracts Management Officer to join their team. This full-time temporary position requires someone with experience in local authorities to lead waste operational projects and improvements. The role involves supporting the team manager in various projects, from procurement to managing contracts like recycling and treatment.
- Lead on the development and delivery of waste operational projects.
- Support the team and assist in different projects.
- Manage Health & Safety tasks.
- Monitor and forecast budgets regularly.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently.
To be eligible, candidates need a valid driving licence and access to transport. Skills needed include a good understanding of waste sites like Household Waste Recycling Centres and Waste Transfer Stations, knowledge of Environmental Permits and Management Systems, as well as a commitment to equality and inclusion.
