London, Greater London, United Kingdom East London NHS Foundation Trust Full time
ELFT has long been recognised as a centre of excellence for mental and health care, innovation and improvement. So it is a very exciting time for you to come and work for us

We are looking for an UKCP-registered Systemic Family Psychotherapist to work in the systemic team in Newham Secondary Care Psychotherapy Services.

This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week, negotiable), fixed term contract (9 months) post at Band 7. Salary dependant on experience. The post is based in Stratford, Newham.

The post holder will work alongside three other systemic therapists and clinical psychology trainees in the team.

The systemic team is embedded within a psychotherapy service offering a range of therapies for clients experiencing complex, severe and enduring mental health difficulties, including cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, integrative therapy, arts therapy, trauma-focused interventions and mentalization-based therapy.

The post holder will join a vibrant team of psychological practitioners and therapists, and contributing to a high quality clinical service using a variety of therapeutic models with an approach which takes into account the social, economic and political context of psychological problems and considers the impact on mental health of socio-economic deprivation, difference, discrimination and racism.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering specialist systemic psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, groups and carers; and for offering consultation, training and teaching to colleagues from other professional backgrounds in the Primary Care Network.

The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service policies and procedures. The postholder will receive regular systemic supervision from the Systemic Lead.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve

Our values are:
We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations

Kindly refer to the job description and person specification that is attached to the vacancy profile.
