Cyber Security Compliance Manager

We are currently working with a well-known arm of the government within the public sector.

A Cyber Security Compliance Manager is responsible for the confidentiality and integrity of business assets, improving compliance, security risk management, and adherencewith technology policies.

The role will involve implementation of compliance management procedures, expertise, and support of compliance activities. This will also involve compliance metrics, and tracking key improvements of security.

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Take lead in maintaining the technology information security risk register
  • Collaborating on technology projects ensuring security policy and risk issues are addressed throughout the project life cycle
  • Managing implementation, risk assessment and documentation
  • Performing security controls testing including design and operation testing
  • Performing supplier due diligence, security assessments, and security audits
  • Monitor third party risk assessments and develop key performance metrics

Ideally, your skills and experience will include:

  • Knowledge with security policies and standards
  • Technical understanding of cyber security solutions and operations
  • Experience advising on data protection, cyber security, and business continuity
  • Experience supporting security control frameworks, such as NIST and ISO27001/
  • Knowledge of cyber security maturity frameworks such as NIST CSF and its Implementation Tiers, Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (C2M2) and NCSC CAF
  • Experience in measuring compliance of an organisation or digital systems against a given set of security criteria
