You will become a well-rounded actuary through regular rotations, covering the core disciplines of Pricing, Capital and Reserving and work with the wider team by contributing to the delivery of actuarial model reviews, as well as analysis to monitor and improve existing models.


Role Requirements


This unique Graduate programme involves you joining our Actuarial Development Scheme (ADS) which will set you on the path to become a qualified Actuary with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).

Responsibilities
In this Graduate role, we will support you to:

  • Gather validate and analyse information, creating models and preparing reports to support actuarial activities
  • Support the Consultants on Project work
  • Create a first draft of actuarial models and carry out data checking and reconciliation and documenting your findings
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues across immediate team and the wider business
  • Adapt the format of communications to suit technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Use spreadsheets and specialist software to produce MI and Analytical information
  • Build and operate actuarial models that use internal and external data sources.
  • Test new advances in data management, analysis and manipulation
  • Support the forecasting process
  • Follow the correct control environment in line with internal policies, procedures, governance, regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Progress through actuarial exams and associated PPD requirements

You will need to have a zest for learning and a willingness to invest time to become a qualified Actuary.


You will also need to be a final year student on track to obtaining at least a 2:1 bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, or other highly numerate disciplines.
