About this opportunityThis is a fantastic opportunity to support our corporate fleet customers make the right choices as they transition their commercial vehicle fleet to zero carbon. As a Commercial Vehicle Consulting Engineer, you'll support a portfolio of Corporate customers, providing expert advice & guidance ensuring their fleet operations are optimized, safe, legal and compliant with the 'right vehicle for the job' at the heart of what we do.
About usAs one of the UK's largest vehicle-funding companies (over 1.1m vehicles on the road are funded or leased by us), we're using our size and influence to lead the charge to accelerate the transition to sustainable transport and are now responsible for funding 1 in 8 Electric Vehicles on UK roads.

However, providing access to funding is one thing; to truly drive the sustainability agenda and achieve net zero, we need to collaborate with industry, government and partners, whilst educating, empowering and engaging corporations (large and small) and their employees to accelerate the transition to Electric Vehicles.
What you'll needYou'll need to be comfortable using your in depth technical commercial vehicle knowledge, developing recommendations for our customers on vehicle choice, accessories and conversion specification that optimises fleet operations and maximises vehicle uptime.
The capability to help lead our customers transition to "Net Zero" through developing clear roadmaps for each customer on how this ambition will be achieved.
You'll co-ordinate the commercial vehicle supply chain to ensure vehicles are prioritised, establish accurate conversion timelines and achieve a right first time outcome on all commercial vehicle conversion and deliveries.
You'll have the drive to identify growth opportunities and proactively support the vehicle renewal cycle across your portfolio of customers, collaborating across stakeholders and improving the end to end customer journey.
You'll take responsibility to support the safety and compliance of our customers commercial fleets, Identifying risks and making recommendations to mitigate these including keeping customers abreast of the ever changing commercial vehicle landscape.
You'll proactively share "Best Practise" both internally and across your Customers keeping across all that is happening across the wider fleet industry becoming our customers trusted expert in all things commercial vehicle.
And any experience of these would be really usefulHave a robust knowledge of the Road Transport Law including Operators Licenses and associated legislation.
Ideally be a qualified member of an Industry accredited organisation such as Institute of Road Transport Engineers.
Customer or supplier management experience in a Corporate fleet environment.
