The Equity Execution Production Services team provides Level One, Two and Three Support for Nomura's Electronic Order Management, Connectivity and Routing applications.

This is a hands-on support role covering the Equity trading floor. The main responsiblities are to maintain and support OMS/EMS applications, trade order flows and various regulatory reports. The role requires constant interaction with sales and trading, middle office and operations teams. Work will be varied in nature and incorporate both hands-on support, incident and problem management. A successful candidate can expect to be involved in array of short and longer term projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical and business knowledge in OMS/EMS, having trading floor or Front Office support experience, FIX protocol and client onboarding experience with strong communication skills.

There is a requirement to work early and late shifts (7:30am – 4:30pm and 9:00am – 6:00pm) on a rota basis.

Additionally, the team are required to be on call over weekends, to carry out releases over weekends, and to provide onsite cover on bank holidays – all on a rota basis.

Managing user queries and service requests (often requiring in depth analysis of the technical and/or business logic of our systems)

  • Problem analysis and resolution

  • Risk management including proactively identifying and addressing risks before they impact us
  • Delivery of items in our improvement agenda (e.g. monitoring, reporting, release automation)
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for picking up new areas as the role requires
  • Desire and ability to deliver improvements to the platform and service provided
Minimum 2 years' experience in trade floor or related support experience

  • Good product knowledge in financial instruments (Equities and Equity Derivatives preferred)
  • Able to navigate in UNIX and Windows proficently
  • Strong technical and analytical skills (SQL knowledge and scripting experiences)
  • Experience with system monitoring platforms
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices including Incident, Problem and Change management
  • Familiarity with middleware, such as TIBCO or Solace, is a plus
  • Development skills are a plus (Python experience is preferred)
