Role
An efficient and effective administrator is required to support the Business Engagement team.

The post holder will coordinate the services engagement with employers and students and ensure all supporting documentation is gathered as required to meet funder requirements.


This role is part time for 5 months, up to 30 hours per week, with a blend of office and remote working as agreed with line manager.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide proactive effective and efficient administrative support to the Project and Academic Team ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
  • Provide administrative support to support activities relating to project systems and course delivery.
  • Collation and input of all participant information
  • Support the organisation of meetings, seminars, conferences or other business development related events to increase the number of employers collaborating with the university
  • Guided by the Programme Manager, undertake data look up and entry activities to ensure all data for project beneficiaries is accurately reported
  • Support the project team to produce and manipulate data for utilisation in reports
  • Provide support with the production of accurate and detailed reports, project updates and evidence to meet audit requirements, adhering to deadlines set by external funding bodies and consortium partners, to produce accurate and detailed reports, project updates and evidence to meet audit requirements.
  • Proactively manage the main enquiry line and inboxes for project beneficiaries and participants.
  • Participate in the University's appraisal process and take responsibility for identifying your own professional and career development needs.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment within the Service

Skills and experience
The skills and experience required for the role are:
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to a diverse audience of internal and external stakeholders

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

A proven track record of supporting sales, business development/ business engagement

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively deal with students, staff and employers at all levels

Ability to make independent decisions on the best course of action from enquiries

Self-motivated, positive thinker with a 'can do' attitude, a sense of purpose and the drive to achieve agreed goals with a commitment to deliver a high-quality student experience

Ability to work on own initiative

Excellent organisational and time management skills

A strong level of digital skills to include Microsoft Office packages

Collaborative team-oriented working style
