About us:


We are a family run business in Melton Mowbray, open since 2006 we cook fresh traditional Italian food and operate as a caffe/bistro.

We're looking for a new chef/kitchen assistant to join during the week and Friday and Saturday evening.


Experience working in a kitchen is a plus but not essential, with the right motivation and attitude, training will be provided.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Help with meal preparation and assembly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication skills to effectively work with the kitchen team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
