About The Role


This position is in the Homelessness, Independence and Preventative Services which adopts a preventative approach across the housing, health and social care agendas.

You will need to be highly organised, energetic, enthusiastic and enjoy working in a high volume, fast paced environment. You must work collaboratively with a strong ability to lead, motivate, manage and develop staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimise the time council properties are empty.
  • Allocate works for void properties and monitor spend against budgets.
  • Lead and manage a team of Voids Officers.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the end-to-end (key to key) voids process across all stages and across relevant departments and teams in the council.

Your Skills:

  • A great communicator to effectively engage with a broad range of people.
  • Excellent organisational skills to prioritise conflicting demands.
  • Strong IT skills to record information and collate statistics.
  • Able to work collaboratively to achieve targets and service objectives.

Professional Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent experience.

Evidence of continuing professional development.

You can travel independently around the Borough to visit properties and work from different locations.
