- Key responsibilities
Our charity shops provide a great source of income to enable us to provide care for local children and their families.
Doing all you can to increase income to support the work of the Trust, your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting customers, merchandising, pricing, stock sorting and rotation, banking and staff planning.
All our shops aim to offer a pleasant customer experience with a good old fashioned bargain to boot and we expect our Shop Assistant to reflect this in their approach to work.
Working with the Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager and alongside volunteers, it is essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
The role is part-time 3 days a week, with weekend working and some bank holidays.
You will also cover for the Shop Manager's absence (holidays, regular day off, sickness absence) so flexibility over working days will be needed.
