Salary:
* £36,217 (shift allowance of 33% may be applicable)

*Plate perpetration, using different methods such as Oxy-fuel gas cutting and Hand Grinding, pressure testing, drilling and lock fitting

  • Assembling ship structures like shell, decks, bulkheads, frames, and longitudinal
  • Fabricating ship items such as seats, ladders, false flooring, and panels
  • Outfitting ships items by fitting hatches, watertight doors, equipment seats, and false flooring
  • Forming material using machine tools like Rolling, Flanging, and Cutting Machines (guillotine, cropper mechanical saw)
  • Preparing the ship for float-off and ship sea trials
*Trade papers, for instance, a formal apprenticeship with the ability to provide papers

  • Current knowledge and experience in Fabrication
  • Clear understanding of SHE risks awareness
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at height
  • Background in a major construction/manufacturing environment

Your responsibilities include constructing the ship by bringing together all component parts following engineering standards and ensuring quality right from the start. Working alongside a team of skilled and innovative trade shipbuilders.
