Distillery Apprentice

Salary:
£10,296 per year (This will increase with the National Wage Increase in April)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (variable, please see below for details).

Overview:

The Heart of Suffolk Distillery is at an exciting point in its growth and we are looking to welcome a Distillery Apprentice into our small team to help drive the business forwards.

As a distillery, we will support you through a relevant apprenticeship and dependent on the success of this and other factors, we will endeavour to have a position for you once completed.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support with the production of our products.
• To take responsibility for the booking of shows and events.
• To attend a significant number of shows and events throughout the year.
• To play an active role in deliveries and customer relations.
• To manage and lead on projects.
• To act as a key member of staff at events.
• To network and represent our brand in a positive light.
• Any other responsibilities in agreement with the Managing Director.

Person Specification:

• 18 years or older
• Hardworking

• Reliable
• An eagerness to learn
• A willingness to try new things and explore different ideas.
• Must have a clean UK driving license and the ability to drive a van

Hours of work
The salary for this job has been worked out based on 37.5 hours per week. Time for your apprenticeship training will be included in this allowance. The actual weekly hours will vary depending on the time of year (to be discussed further at interview). Weekend, evening and bank holiday work is to be expected. As much notice as possible is given to support with home and social life.

Our Distillery Apprentice will be entitled to 25 days per holiday a year.

Education
A Grade four or above in GCSE English and Maths
