Battyeford CE (VC) Primary School is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, highly self-motivated and positive minded SENDCo from September 2024.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds the NASENCO qualification or committed to undertaking the new mandatory NPQ for SENDCos at the time of appointment.
  • Expects the highest possible standards along with being supportive of our church ethos and Christian values.
  • As the SEND leader, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, will play a key role in determining the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision in the school, to raise achievement of children with SEND, taking day to day responsibility for the operation of the SEND and any related policies.
  • Will assist the Senior Leadership Team in delivering our REACH vision of enabling our children, every day, to be Responsible; Empathetic; Aspirational, Confident & Happy by supporting the direction of the school, setting high expectations and modelling professional conduct.
  • Undertakes a lead role across the school in maintaining high standards of pupil's behaviour and emotional wellbeing within the framework of the school policy, the SEND Code of Practice and supporting other staff as necessary. The post holder will form part of the DSL/Pastoral team.
