The Role:

  • Lead a team dedicated to enhancing deployment and operations processes for container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).
  • Ensure platform security, resilience, and reliability, reducing operational burdens.
  • Drive automation efforts, provide support to users, develop team skills, handle incidents, and manage platform operations.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in container orchestration platforms, specifically Tanzu Application Service.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience automating platform operations like deployment, upgrades, provisioning, and maintenance.
  • Strong software engineering skills, especially in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Consulting background in guiding others to enhance platform and software engineering abilities.
  • Ability to effectively respond to incidents, diagnose and resolve platform and application issues.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Concourse, Datadog, Splunk, and Log Insight.
  • Willingness to participate in On-Call duty.
  • Located in the UK, working UK hours, collaborating with colleagues in the UK, CN, IN, US, and HK.
  • Past experience managing an engineering team that supports vital production services.
