Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture long-term client relationships
  • Engage in diverse and challenging accounting assignments across various sectors, collaborating with seniors, managers, and partners as needed
  • Utilize a range of accounting software such as CCH, Sage, and Xero
  • Enhance technical and commercial knowledge through continuous development
  • Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assignments within agreed budgets
  • Prepare working papers, statutory accounts, and management accounts for different business entities
  • Review and prepare corporation tax computations
  • Effectively manage workload to exceed client expectations
  • Supervise, train, and support junior team members
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the team and across the firm, fostering a collaborative environment

Requirements for Success

  • Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA) or nearing completion
  • Minimum of 3 years' practical experience in a UK accounting firm
  • Proficiency in FRS1021A is a must
  • Additional experience in areas like SRAs, international accounts, consolidated accounts, or charity accounts would be advantageous
  • Educational background comprising a university degree with significant achievement or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proficient in IT, especially Excel, with a quick grasp of new software
  • Positive, proactive, and confident demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines with high-quality results
  • Enjoy collaborative teamwork and possess self-motivation
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for mentoring junior staff
