Grounds Maintenance

Morar Living is a growing and dynamic care home company created in response to our growth within the care industry.

Due to the growth within the group we are currently seeking to recruit a
Grounds Maintenance Person who will cover our care homes and sites throughout Scotland and Northern England.

Definition - Grounds Maintenance Person will carryout activities of landscaping and grounds keeping. You will need excellent grounds skills and the ability to operate equipment such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers etc. You will also have a certification to use pesticides, and you will also take great pride in your work. Within the autumn and winter months you will be retained to assist with preparation, maintenance and general labouring works around the homes and sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Line managing a team
• Mowing Lawns
• Planting
• Weeding
• Jet washing
• Litter picking
• Emptying bins
• Groundworks repairs
• Gritting
• Leaf blowing
• General external preparation
• Ensuring the efficient use of resources and equipment
• Undertake daily maintenance and safety checks
• To detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
• To complete minor DIY

Key Skills:

• Practical skills and proficiency with tools
• Ability to resolve problems and adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Being resourceful and selfmotivated
• Being flexible
• Current Driving License holder
  ESSENTIAL travel between multiple sites will be required
• Proven experience in a Maintenance/Handyman role
