As an experienced clinician, you've seen a lot. You've experienced the good and the bad parts of the role.

You've seen the impact good therapeutic support can have on a person, but you've also seen what happens when it goes wrong.

Maybe, you've sat in training and thought "I could do that ". Well, here's your chance

You can split your time in two.

Half your time you'll spend supporting our homes, schools and colleges with psychological assessments and treatments - The sort of work you've been doing for a long time.

The rest of your time, you'll be able to spend training people to do what you do. One day you could be training people on attachment and trauma, the next introducing people to the therapeutic approach. This is a new role withing Phoenix, so there's a real opportunity to make it your own.

To start, this role will focus on internal training, but the plan would be to open up our training to external partners that would really value what we have to share.

A day in the life of a Psychological Practitioner will involve:

  • Training our external health and social professionals and agencies, ensuring the training we give, and service we provide, are fit for purpose.
  • Designing and delivering training to ensure our internal teams have the skills and knowledge they need to support the people in our care.
  • Support with psychological assessments, treatments and other types of clinical intervention with children and young adults, carers and families. This isn't the key focus of the role, so will only happen on an adhoc basis.

To be a successful Psychological Practitioner, you'll need:

  • A post-graduate qualification in psychological practice (EG Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Creative Arts Psychotherapies, etc) alongside HCPC registration.
  • Great handson clinical experience. As this role will be training others, we need to know you've experienced what you teach.
  • Experience designing and delivering training. This is a key role for us, so we need someone who has experience delivering in this type of work previously.
  • Experience working with IT. As you'll be designing training materials, and liaising with various people, we need you to be able to use Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams well.
  • A full driving licence. You'll spend time in different locations and settings, so we need you to be able to travel between sites with ease. Not all of our sites are accessible via public transport, so a driving licence is key.

In return for your time, you'll get:

  • Holidays
  • You'll work 42 weeks of the year, but you'll still get paid 5.6 weeks (28 days) annual leave on top.
  • Pension scheme
  • Our pension scheme is based on you paying in 5%, and us adding 3%.
  • Learning & Development Opportunities
  • We provide comprehensive learning opportunities for team members to develop themselves.

Discounts
  • You'll have access to brilliant discounts through the Blue Light Card and our own employee benefits platform.

Wellbeing Support
  • Your wellbeing is always our priority. You'll have access to mental health and wellbeing support. On top of this, our therapies team offers a monthly confidential check in clinic, and group reflective practice sessions.
  • Cycle2Work The cycle to work scheme enables you to buy a bicycle at a discounted rate.

DBS
  • As this role required you to have an enhanced DBS carried out, we will cover this cost.

After 12 months service you'll also be eligible for our Medicash scheme which covers a wide range of medical, health and wellbeing expenses (Including immediate access to a GP).

You'll get life assurance paid at x2 your annual salary.

  • At Phoenix Learning and Care, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our team members. We remain committed to ensuring our teams can bring their true selves to work without risk or fear of discrimination._
