Due to internal progression, we are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Retouch Team Leader to help coordinate our team of highly skilled Retouchers.

Under the direction of the Studio Product Image Manager, you will work alongside the afternoon Team Leader and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Retouching teams

You will be working Monday

  • Friday from 8:004:00 pm and every other Saturday, with a lieu day off in the week. This role is based permanently in our lovely Studio, at our Head Office in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high standard on all imagery processed by the Retouch teams ensuring the content feels real and connected to both product and customer experience, in accordance with Childrensalon's guidelines.
  • Provide team leadership to inspire, engage and motivate the Retouch teams. Inspire them to 'be the best' and ensure adherence to all our company values.
  • Assist the Studio Managers in running a smooth and efficient Studio operation.
  • Help to maintain the efficiency of the Studio workflows, and respect the prioritisation of products and brands.
  • Ensure products are treated responsibly, with the utmost care and not mishandled.
  • Collaborate on developing and implementing appropriate quality control measures to maintain accuracy in order to meet Childrensalon's high standard of product imagery.
  • Accurately delegate tasks and detailed retouching notes.
  • Make sure all the photographed goods are retouched and published on the website in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions.
  • Attend daily and weekly meetings to communicate information and collaborate with other Studio Team Leaders to ensure workflows are efficient and within set timeframes.
  • Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of the Childrensalon Retouch/Styling guides, ensuring it is uptodate and reviewed regularly in line with Childrensalon Brand guidelines and industry standards.
  • Assist in developing new creative concepts to ensure imagery stays up to date with trends and ahead of competitors.
  • Assist the Studio Product Image Manager with People Management Processes including performance and time management, learning and development, and recruitment
  • Set efficient team plans for busy and quieter times.
  • Keep track of budgets and spending with any outsourced images
  • Work closely with other teams around the business / Provide Ad hoc support

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Solid experience in leading a team in a similar role, ideally within an ecommerce environment
  • The ability to work collaboratively with own and wider teams
  • Experience as a Retoucher, with some evidence of highquality retouching in your portfolio
  • Excellent Photoshop skills with the ability to create actions
  • Strong knowledge of colour correction and profiles. A background in accurate colour correction using physical samples and digital assets is essential
  • Proficiency in Mac OS with the ability to work with a variety of software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft 365 products (training on bespoke systems will be provided)
  • Proactive and able to show initiative/ideas
  • A meticulous eye for detail, visual composition, and proportion
  • Excellent organisational, time management and decisionmaking skills
  • Open and communicative, being receptive to the views, ideas and knowledge of others and the ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels across the business.
  • Positive attitude to new challenges
  • Strong listening and inquisitive skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and towards multiple deadlines

Desirable Skills:

  • Photoshop scripting skills
  • Studio lighting and photography
  • Knowledge of animated images, Video editing and 3D is preferable
  • Comprehensive understanding and interest in the Global luxury fashion landscape, encompassing brands, fashion trends and new ideas
