We have the following Nightshift roles available:

  • CNC Turner
  • CNC Miller

Hours of work: 39 hrs per week (over 4 days)

Nights - 5:00pm to 3:30am Monday to Wednesday and 5:00pm to 2:30am Thursday

Salary:
Competitive following a recent pay review - Nightshift premium of Time & 1/3.

CNC Turner Duties:

  • Setting and operating of CNC lathes, with an understanding of programming knowledge.
  • The ability to carefully follow procedure in terms of process through setup sheets etc.
  • Be able to interpret technical drawings with a good understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances.
  • Ensuring that quality and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
  • The necessary skill set to work within a team environment or individually.
  • All work must be carried out in accordance with job card instructions and attendant stage drawings, customer specifications etc. and generally in accordance with the company's quality system.
  • All work must be undertaken in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant safe systems of work and generally in accordance with the company's safety policies.

CNC Millers Duties:

  • Setting and operating of CNC milling 3, 4 & 5 axis machines following set up sheets
  • Input control instruction into machine
  • Evaluate program blueprints to outline machine operations and dimensions
  • Set machine tools
  • Make use of network links DNC to ensure transmission of command from computer servers to computer numerical control modules
  • Take accurate measurements of work piece and gauges for production
  • Carryout daily maintenance measures to ensure good condition of machines
  • Operate one or more machines with little or no assistance
  • Produce and update procedure and process setup sheets
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Interpretation of technical drawings with a highlevel understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances
  • Ensure that quality and safety standards are always adhered to
  • Ensures that all work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the relevant safe systems of work and generally in accordance with the company's safety policies.

CNC Machinist Requirements:

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK (Essential)
  • A Minimum of 3 years' experience working with large components withina high precision manufacturing environment.
  • A Minimum of 3 years' experience of operating Mazak controls (CNC Turner)
  • Experience of working to engineering drawings or work instructions with the ability to interpret technical drawings with a highlevel understanding of geometric dimensions & tolerances.
  • Knowledge of how to machine, handle and protect all types of manufactured components.
  • Experience and ability to programme, set and operate different machine tools.
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
  • Setting and operating of CNC Milling 3 & 4 axis machines (CNC Miller)
