THE ROLE –
Area Sales Executive:
This will start as a 12-month maternity-cover contract, but my client is part of a much larger group and it is expected that a permanent role will be identified for you by the end of the contract
After a thorough induction programme you will spend 2-months field based working alongside and shadowing the current ASM before they go on maternity leave
Gaining warm introductions to the area's key accounts and being shown how the role is best done
This will then evolve into a field based account management role, managing and developing the relationship with the existing builders' merchants, distributors, contractors and local developers
Tracking and winning the projects they have coming up, and passing across to your merchant network that you will also support and develop
There will be first class technical support from an internal team at head office
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT -
Area Sales Executive:
You will already have some sales experience, this could be field based, but equally you could be in an internal sales role or branch based
Applicants with construction related experience will be readily received, but client s equally open to recruiting from other B2B sales backgrounds
Either way you will be quick learner with a go-getting and make it happen approach to sales, and first class communication skills
