Audit Consultant

A London market insurance business is seeking an Internal Auditor to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract basis to assist the Underwriting Audit Manager in delivering the audit plan, following up on audit findings and helping with associated underwritingcontrols activities across all classes of business.
The key function is the delivery of the underwriting audit plan to ensure maintaining a robust approach to underwriting controls within appropriate timescales for the entire organisation.
This will involve strong communication and organisational skills in orderto gain expert resource to support the underwriting audit function and closely liaise with the Business Unit Heads and the senior underwriting team.
The role will additionally involve assisting the Underwriting Operations Manager with the management of the underwriting governance framework, particularly associated with underwriting authorities, breach analysis and exception reporting.
Suitable applicants will come from an audit background (either internal or external audit and either from practice or industry) with exposure to the London insurance market (Lloyd's and / or company markets), have solid analytical and problem solving skills,able to identify, analyse and resolve issues, good report authoring skills as the role will involve drafting a number of reports to stakeholders, have the ability to work in conjunction with a number of key departments including Underwriting, Legal & Complianceand Internal Audit and have effective time management to ensure completion of the underwriting audit timetable set by the Underwriting Audit Manager.
