This new senior Caretaker role is an ideal opportunity for someone who cares about the community and has experience in general maintenance, along with implementing, and managing risk assessments, ensuring we as a council are health and safety compliant.

You will be helping to ensure the council's assets and amenities are well maintained and presented.

Your primary tasks will be:


To work with the Town Clerk, to ensure the Parish Hall is compliant with Health and Safety inclusive of implementing and managing risk assessments in place, actioning, scheduling and coordinating works to be carried out between yourself and the team.

To provide full caretaking and cleaning duties in the Parish Hall, Chirk, ensuring the day-to-day needs of the Parish Hall are met.

To provide a friendly welcome, be responsive and provide support to all the Parish Hall users.

To ensure the Parish Hall is cleaned daily (in line with the rota/schedule that you implement and manage) To manage/action coordinate and take part in the collection and removal of litter from the seven recreational grounds and cemetery.

When trained to inspect all play equipment on each site and submit a written inspection sheet, once implemented. To support the Council in preparation for large events around the Town. To keep internal and external notice boards up to date.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temp to perm

Expected hours: 30 per week
