Mid-Level Automation Tester

Permanent Role - UK Remote/Hybrid/London

Salary £35k-£45k
We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Automation Tester to join our team.

As a Mid-Level Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

You will collaborate closely with the development and quality assurance teams to identify test requirements, develop test plans, and implement automated test scripts.


Mid-Level Automation Tester
Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Cucumber and Selenium with Java to create automated tests for both API and UI components.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Java to validate the functionality, performance, and security of our software products.
  • Conduct accessibility testing using tools like AxE and Wave to ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define test requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Identify and report software defects, and work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure highquality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Continuously explore and evaluate new automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance the testing process.
  • Document test procedures, test cases, and test results to maintain accurate and thorough records.

Mid-Level Automation Tester
Additional Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Gitlab CI for continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work within a team.

The Role -
Mid-Level Automation Tester

  • Proficiency in using Cucumber and Selenium with Java for API and UI testing.
  • Experience in creating performance tests using tools such as K
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing tools like AxE and Wave.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and familiarity with JavaScript/Typescript.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
