Foundry Operative

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for Foundry Operatives to join our Day Shift team, previous experienced would be an advantage but not essential.

Duties will involve various casting and methods of working within the following areas for Sand Molding, Cores, Knockout, Die Foundry and Fettling, all of which are part of the assembly process of metal casting projects within a Foundry environment.

Duties of the roles:

Assembling and preparing for various casting process

• Metal preparation for various casting process
• Specific molding for bespoke projects
• Assembly process of cups/cores
• Quantity targets and quality measures
• Knowledge of casting, production and process
• Knockout and labouring duties occasionally when required
• Manual Handling and lifting is required within the Foundry environment
• Quality Awareness
• Good communication skills with Supervisors and colleagues
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines and job change

The person:

• Ideally suit someone with previous Foundry experience, molding, building or metal work but not essential.
• Flexible and committed, with a strong work ethic, positive approach and enthusiastic.
• A good team player who cooperates with colleagues, take instructions and shares information effectively.
• A good performance record with quality and accuracy of working to attention to detail.
• Capable of working to deadlines and daily/weekly production targets.
• Adherence to Foundry environment needs for PPE protection, Health and Safety requirements and daily housekeeping.
• Have the ability to train and learn new skills quickly, reliably and effectively.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday
Friday

A good level of spoken English is required.

Job:
