The Council is committed in its goal of constant improvement of the services it delivers and is thus undergoing an exciting major change programme to transform how it delivers services to customers and to enhance the customer experience and build a more resilient,flexible and sustainable organisation.

Underpinning this is a new organisation structure, new operating model and the implementation of Salesforce as an enabler to deliver digital services directly to customers and embrace the fact that more and more customersare serving themselves online.

This Salesforce Technical Solution Architect position is a newly created role within the Data, Digital and Improvement department, who are innovating the CRM platform to enable the major change programme across the Council.

This role will lead the translationof business, technical and functional requirements and high-level solution designs into detailed technical design that use the power of Salesforce Service Cloud and related functionality.

The Architect will design the technical solution that meets the businessneeds and challenges the status quo.

With Salesforce being implemented to replace legacy systems, you will mentor and guide the team bringing your multi cloud platform expertise to the team, specifically around Service Cloud, Experience/Community Cloud and Marketing Cloud.

You will analyse businessprocesses and identify solutions, assessing feasibility and recommending new approaches that maximise investment.

You will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the development of end-to-end solutions that meet both the functional and non-functionalrequirements.

You will manage release and deployment cycles and environments.

In addition, you will continuously analyse the architecture to ensure the platform is run as intelligently and efficiently as possible, offering strategic and technical advice toimprove this through cost saving or efficiency gains.

Ultimately you will ensure that the organisation continues to deliver a first-class customer experience across their digital channels, aiding customer to complete transactions through the effective useof code, design and functionality.

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of operating as a Technical Solution Architect, supporting the creation of a new landscape.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders to influence their thinking on what is feasible through technology innovation.
  • Salesforce Architect Certification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Significant experience with Salesforce multi cloud with the ability to identify and design solutions across Service Cloud, Experience/Community Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Handson development experience using configuration, APEX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery preferred.
  • Strong experience and grasp of Salesforce APIs, integration patterns and handson knowledge of writing custom web services.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Salesforce coding best practices and design patterns.
  • Handson experience with version/source control and continuous integration tools, and DevOps principles.
  • Experience of working with technical development teams to deliver solutions that are architecturally sound, maintainable and scalable.
  • Good understanding of Agile principles and methodology.
