MGF are currently seeking to recruit an HR Administration Apprentice to join our Human Resources Team at our Head Office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the HR team as we introduce a new way of working and continue to invest in new systems.


As HR Administration Apprentice, you would be an integral member of the wider HR team reporting directly to the People Operations Partner.

Your main responsibility will be to provide an efficient and effective general administration service to the HR team.

Primarily you will be responsible for answering and dealing with enquiries from the HR Inbox and phone calls, producing routine documents such as letters, contracts of employment and job adverts, inputting data into HR systems, maintaining filing systems and assisting to organise meetings and interviews.


The core skill requirements of this role are:

  • Strong Administration and organisation skills.
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent (including Maths and English).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Strong IT Skills with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn and take up new challenges.
  • Self motivated and be able to work effectively within a team.
