  • My client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electromechanical products for a range of industries are in search of a Project Manager to join their established and experienced team._
  • You will be working within the Research and Development department ensuring that new products meet legal, technical and commercial compliance requirements and to ensure conformity is maintained throughout the product's lifecycle and production._
  • You will be required to work with and interface to outside bodies such as UL and Notified Bodies under the EU Machinery Directive and Lifts Directive. _
  • The main areas of conformity are:_
  • Electrical safety (low voltage, up to 690 V)_
  • EMC_
  • Functional safety (control functions for machinery safety)_
  • Environmental regulations (e.g. RoHS and Ecodesign/ErP Directive)_
  • The main approval processes are:_
  • CE (for LVD, EMCD, Machinery & RoHS)_
  • UL_
  • UKCA (as CE)_
  • TuV (Nord, Sud, Rheinland)_
  • DNV (Marine)_
  • The Senior Compliance Engineer is responsible for:_
  • To work with design teams and test staff to ensure that conformity requirements for design projects are correctly specified, achieved to schedule, documented to the required standards and independently approved and certified where required._
  • To issue Declarations of Conformity and similar formal documents._
  • To assist in ensuring that conformity requirements are correctly reflected in user documentation._
  • To maintain the required product documentation and certification through design and production including design changes, with the support of the sustaining team._
  • To work with the Technical Support team to ensure that the required documentation is available to customers as required, and to assist in responding to conformityrelated customer enquiries._
  • To be the point of contact for the company with safety authorities in the event of regulatory enquiries._
  • Engage closely with international approval standards and bodies to keep up to date with regulatory requirements and be involved with relevant trade associations._
  • RE acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers._
