The purpose of this role is to effectively support the supply of equipment and materials to the Projects and Operations teams.


Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • For all deliveries, promptly receipt, carry out quality inspection and store goods in the correct location. Ensure all relevant documentation is processed.
  • Organise the picking, packaging, and logistics of materials so that they are available at the required time.
  • Coordinate the tracking, collection, delivery and transportation of parts, materials and returned goods including pallets and parcels.
  • Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained at all times within the warehouse and stores areas, especially with regard to health and safety and proactively identify any health and safety issues and remedy in a timely manner.
  • Operate forklift loading and unloading goods in and out of the stores, as and when required.
  • Support regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels and appropriate levels of stock holding.
  • Replenish stock to agreed levels.
  • Support the maintenance of company vehicles including MOT, servicing and repair ensuring compliance with lease conditions and regulations. Also ensure vehicles are available when required and booking process is followed.
  • Undertake training and inspections (e.g. harnesses, rescue kits, ladders, PPE).
  • Contribute to the future success of Powersystems and clients
  • Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business, and improve the efficiency of company processes
  • Maintain a professional image at all times
  • Embrace and demonstrate Powersystems 5 principles of: Priority No.1 Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactive

Heres what you need to be successful in the role:

  • Current qualified forklift truck driver (training provided)
  • First aid at work (training provided)
  • PPE Competent person (training provided)
  • Able to follow business processes whilst managing multiple time pressured tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a Stores environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
