Salary: 29k per annum

£16,916.67 pro rata).

Job Summary:


We are looking for a motivated and talented HR Generalist to join our small, friendly, and driven team at a crucial and exciting time.

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who is excited by a different challenge each day. You must have attention to detail, be a self-starter, be able to multi task and have excellent organisational skills.


You will action and offer advice in all areas of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and support HR projects that seek to continually improve our HR processes and practices, including the continued development of policies and procedures.


Essential Skills:


Experience of working as a HR Assistant or Coordinator as well as a solid understanding of employment legislation and employee relations is essential, together with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a busy environment and from home.


Example of Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • First point of contact for HR Enquires.
  • Recruitment processes, liaising with managers, arranging interviews, post job adverts and on boarding.
  • Work with admin assistant to ensure compliance, DBS checks and references.
  • Lead HR meetings or take minutes where appropriate.
  • Create HR reports and audit on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • To track Employee Annual Leave and manage BrightHR system.
  • Monitor and record absence in accordance with the Absence Management Policy, liaising with managers when action needs to be taken.
  • Arranging induction training/programmes, liaising team managers and carrying out training reviews.
  • Arrange appropriate training dates, review current training programme, and implement apprenticeships.
  • Create and support the implementation of a refreshed equality diversity and inclusion policy and training programme.
  • Support any discipline and grievance issues, taking advice as appropriate.
  • Lead on Data Protection requirements for the organisation, working with our external advisor to ensure compliance in all areas.
  • Check HR Matrix regularly, flag any policies and procedures that require reviewing. Working alongside HR Manager and Peninsula to update as appropriate.
  • Work with HR Manager to review employee wellbeing and implement new initiatives.
