Our client, a prominent global company focused on engineering projects in the water sector, is growing its commercial team in Scotland and needs a Quantity Surveyor to join them in Inverness.

We are open to candidates with various levels of experience, especially those coming from a background in the water industry.

As a Quantity Surveyor assigned to Scottish Water projects, you will work closely with the commercial team, overseeing the management of multiple projects from tender to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing crucial commercial support to operational teams and stakeholders.
  • Producing accurate project cost forecasts.
  • Managing subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
  • Handling daily commercials on projects.
  • Preparing and issuing subcontractor documentation.
  • Evaluating compensation events and issuing early warning notices.
  • Offering commercial support to operational teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience with fast-paced, high-volume projects.
  • Proficiency in commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
  • Preferably, previous involvement in water projects.
