About this role

  • As a Cloud Service Delivery Professional, you are responsible for contributing to the design and deployment of new bespoke systems as well as supporting and maintaining existing ones. You should also contribute to innovation and development of new products, and process improvement initiatives. This role will require working as part of a team, supporting colleagues and collaboration with customers.
  • Security Clearance: The nature of our work means you will be expected to obtain and maintain a DV clearance, so if you don't currently have one, we will need to undertake pre security checks before starting the role with us. Once you have obtained DV, you will be eligible for an additional £5k annual payment.
    You'll have the following responsibilities
  • Be a customer champion, responsible for resolving incidents and service requests in line with SLA's to enable continued system operation.
  • Working under a clear framework of accountability, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing security solutions for our customers.
  • You will ensure that our brand reputation is upheld with our customers throughout your operational support duties and delivery of solution work packages.
  • You will be a collaborative partner, forming part of an out of hours on call rota with your team and participating in external activities related to your specialism e.g. attending technical conferences and knowledge sharing. You will also assist in the technical decisions that influence the success of projects and team objectives.
  • You will be a change agent, identifying and communicating opportunities that assist with setting technical direction with respect to best practice and planning your own work to meet given objectives and processes.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Have service management experience within the IT industry and the ability to take responsibility, ownership and autonomy of delegated platform operations and deliverables.
  • Have a deep understanding and experience of cloud computing in AWS/Azure/GCP.
  • Have some understanding of DevOps and Agile team methodologies.
  • Be degree educated or have equivalent industry experience.
  • Have familiarity of IP networking basics & CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Have some experience of working with big data platforms and managing and monitoring protocols
  • Have awareness of virtualisation/ containerisation concepts, incident management and problem resolution
