VAT Associate Director

Together with Partners and Directors, you'll manage the interface between a group of clients and the firm to ensure that the agreed expectations of the clients in terms of service, quality, and cost are met. - Identifying and advising on VAT planning opportunities, and undertaking specialized technical assignments as needed.
- Responding to clients' queries promptly and keeping clients and partners informed about the status of the VAT work.
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients regarding VAT matters and ensuring exceptional client service consistently.
- Handling tasks delegated by the Partner or Director.
- Ensuring effective coordination with other departments.
- Close monitoring of work in progress reports to ensure profitability and timely invoicing of clients.
- Developing an advanced level of technical knowledge through relevant readings and courses, and staying aware of the firm's services and publications.
- Identifying, attracting, and converting potential clients, as well as supporting other departments in creating proposals for new assignments.
- Active involvement in client seminars, efficiently following up on contacts made.
- Assisting in quality control and review processes, and managing departmental administration when needed.
- Participation in staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.
- Maintaining awareness of Health and Safety issues within the firm and reporting any concerns to the designated representative.
- Performing any other duties within the scope of the role as requested by the line manager or Head of Department.
About the ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working at the Manager or Associate Director level in VAT, along with a track record of winning new business or maximizing revenue from existing clients. You should feel comfortable mentoring junior staff members and fostering a positive team environment. Key attributes include:
- Ability to establish and develop a team of VAT professionals.
- Strong business acumen with a proven ability to meet targets.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a demonstrated history of effective client management.

About the Service Line Head
